Dear Valued Customers,

On October 4-5, 2022 SAP MaxAttention hosted a 2-Day virtual Innovation workshop covering the latest Supply Chain Innovations in Design, Planning, Manufacturing, Deliver and Operate. The speakers included Product Engineering, Solution Management and SAP MaxAttention Center of Expertise, who contributed to the success of this event.

The event was kicked off by Balaji Gaddam Rao, Vice President and Head of SAP MaxAttention Center Of Expertise (CoE) North America at SAP. He laid out the different avenues on how to engage SAP Premium Engagements and the several initiatives SAP MaxAttention is supporting our customers such as RISE, Cloud, Industry & Sustainability.

David Vallejo, Vice President Solution Management for Digital Supply Chain then discussed the current supply chain challenges and how to build a resilient supply chain. David further discussed the future trends of SAP Supply Chain solutions on Business Technology Platform and illustrated SAP Product Strategy.

Following the strategy discussion Ravi Srinivasan, SAP Product Engineering and Abhishek Singh Architect Premium Hub CoE, lead the session on Design aspects of D2O (Design to Operate) including the new advancements in Product Life Cycle Management and SAP Enterprise Portfolio and Project Management.

Ravi talked about details on the solutions such as SAP Enterprise Product Development (EPD), PLM System integrations with Siemen’s partnership and discussed different scenarios and SAP roadmap for these products. Abhishek then went into the details for SAP Enterprise Portfolio and Project Management on cloud along with the latest innovations and demos.  Both also discussed several customer use-cases on how SAP MaxAttention has been engaged with the customers.

The next session focused on Supply chain Planning, Karsten Schierholt, Chief Product Owner, IBP for Response & Supply, Ulrich Mast, Solution Management, Digital Supply Chain laid out the concept and strategy behind ‘Synchronous planning’ and detailed scheduling and also provided the roadmap for future innovations such as shelf-life planning, characteristic based planning and tank planning. Later Rishabh Gupta and Mahesh Babu, Architects Premium Hub CoE shared some of the customer use-cases and examples which the SAP MaxAttention teams has been working on.

Following up on discussion on synchronous planning the next session was on Demand driven Replenishments, here Jay Foster, Solution Management, Jan Zielinski, Product Engineering, Caetano Almeida, SAP Premium Hub outlined the strategy for Demand driven MRP and how it works with IBP and S/4HANA. They also touch upon an interesting use-case for a customer who recently adopted the DDMRP solution from SAP and went live.

The day ended with Sagar Deshmukh Senior Director, Planning & Procurement, SAP MaxAttention CoE wrapping the day and summarizing the key aspects of the sessions and discussing the poll results.

On Day 2, Rohit Dwivedi, Senior Director, Manufacturing and Supply Chain welcomed the guest customers and did a quick recap from the sessions from day1 and provided additional insights on the new innovations on Digital supply chain and discussed the agenda planned for rest of the day.

The first session of Day 2 was on Digital & Sustainable Manufacturing, Sam Castro, Global Solution Management DMCI and Process Manufacturing and Rahul Kumar SAP Premium Hub CoE, outlined the various aspects of digital manufacturing cloud solutions and the innovations in the manufacturing space. They also outlined several customer examples both from discrete and process industries where the customers are taking advantage of Digital manufacturing cloud solutions.

Another exciting session after manufacturing was on Intelligent Logistics and Delivery, Sabine Evacic, Product Owner LBN, Christian Ries, DSC Logistics, Hari Panakkal, SAP Premium Hub CoE provided an overview of the new EWM Robotics, Logistics Business Network and track and trace and touched upon prominent use-case for robotics and LBN.

Following this was the session on Intelligent Operations covering the capabilities of Asset Performance Management (APM) in the cloud. Tom Kurtz, Solution Management, DSC Digital Assets and Ryan Weicker, SAP Premium Hub CoE dig into the details of the APM solutions and different capabilities, roadmap and use-cases which are being implemented by several customers.

Finally, the last session of the day was about the ‘How can SAP MaxAttention Help with D2O Transformations’ , and Rohit Dwivedi and Sagar Deshmukh illustrated how SAP MaxAttention can help customers with different supply chain transformations and outlined the latest business scenario for Design to Operate. They also shared some customer success stories on how SAP Premium Engagements/ MaxAttention has been instrumental in customers transformation journeys.

Rohit Dwivedi, Senior Director, Manufacturing and Supply Chain then concluded the day with the key takeaways and call to action for customers to engage premium engagements in their transformations.
