For this edition of our Around the Globe series, join us as we travel to Atlanta, Georgia, to meet Erin Jewell, the Vice President of Digital Marketing & Operations at Sago. With nearly two decades of experience with the company, Erin has seen Sago grow and evolve. Keep reading as she reflects on her journey with Sago so far, and discover her most memorable experiences with the company, her favorite family rituals, and more.

Q: What is your most memorable experience at Sago?

EJ: I’ve had a lot of memorable experiences during my 19-year tenure with Sago, but our recent rebrand is one that makes me most proud. This was a big undertaking and slightly risky given the Schlesinger Group legacy, but the energy it brought to our team still brings a smile to my face. And, of course, hearing the positive feedback from our new and long-standing clients was a relief.

Q: What values most resonate for you regarding the Sago culture?

EJ: I love my job, our team, and the company, so “Be Passionate” is probably one that is easiest to live by.  Aspirationally, “Be Bold” inspires me to continue to push the boundaries and look for new ways of thinking or doing things.

Q: What’s the one work item you can’t live without and why?

EJ: I use my digital notebook every day during meetings. I can tag and sort pages by topic, letting me easily refer back to important notes. I also love that it’s portable, and I can store hundreds of pages without having notebooks stacked up on my desk.

Q: Do you have a favorite family ritual you’re willing to share?

EJ: It may sound simple, but our family of four makes it a priority to eat dinner together every night (the success rate hovers around five out of seven nights per week). This is one of the only times we can all connect with no distractions. During this time, we share the highs and lows of the day or play Table Topics to get the conversation flowing.
