Orchestrating Intelligent Automation with Bizagi 11.2.4 R2

By

This blog is about a Bizagi product announcement from 2020. All information was accurate at the time of publication.

Businesses, workforces and processes have been disrupted by the pandemic at an unprecedented rate and scale. In many ways, this has accelerated the evolution of services in areas that were already changing.

We all knew that the days of paper documentation and wet signatures being used in business processes were ending, but many were limping on when suddenly it’s become more urgent than ever to escape that way of working. We all knew that sending important documents and spreadsheets over email was an inefficient and insecure way of passing information with no audit trail, but the chaos of distributed workforces working from home has made this more apparent. Suddenly, business processes that just about worked before now don’t work at all. It’s clear that the complexity of today’s requirements demands a new approach to intelligent automation.

Time for a new approach

Presenting at Catalyst 2020, Rob Koplowitz of Forrester Research shared that the old BPM mindset wouldn’t work in today’s environment because after COVID-19 about ⅔ of companies claimed to have broken processes with remote workers. To combat these broken processes, Koplowitz said that, performing “adaptive automation at scale is now a business imperative.”

Sandy Kemsley of Column 2, in her Catalyst presentation, said that to design an intelligent automation ecosystem, you need to become even more agile, collaborative, and metrics-centric. And not by using the dated metrics but to focus on the intelligence of tomorrow. When you do that, you can better understand, monitor, and align your business goals and incentives to the ever-changing workforce.

Along with the amplified need for business agility, we believe that the most significant requirement for transformation in 2020 is the power to orchestrate. Business processes, and the customer journeys that they power, do not live in a single system – but across many. So to help with this, we’ve added new integrations and capabilities in our latest release of Bizagi 11.2.4 R2. As an intelligent automation orchestrator, the Bizagi platform enables you to bring people, processes, and systems together to create a best-in-class intelligent automation stack.

Here’s a list of the top features, connectors and integrations we’ve recently added in 11.2.4 R2 to help you do this:

Microsoft Cognitive Services Connector

By saving you time and money, this Form Recognizer Connector gives you the ability to quickly extract text, key phrases, and tables from your scanned forms. It even offers sentiment analysis and language detection. This connector bridges the power of Azure and Cognitive Services and gives you the ability to further improve the understanding of customer perception.

Another upside to this natural languages connector is that it’ll be able to sift out the data noise in your processes, similarly to what we’re already doing with a few of our customers.

ABBYY Connectors

You know what should talk to each other? Your documents and your processes. Make that connection with the new ABBYY connectors, which give you the ability to use digital scans or documents in the form of images, handwritten forms, or print documents, to extract key information to input into your forms.

This will help you reduce manual work and user error, while adding the agility your business needs to thrive. You can choose from an automapping connector or an unstructured one.

SAP Cloud Connector

If you’re currently using SAP for your business needs, we’re pleased to introduce a new SAP Cloud Connector that better integrates with their cloud platform. This completely new connector enables new integration scenarios and works well with S/4HANNA, which is a significant investment at SAP as they migrate people to their cloud platform.

Robotic Process Automation

The power of RPA can have on decreasing manual work is being actualized in processes everywhere – but RPA is just one part of the puzzle. That’s why Bizagi created native integrations with all three leading RPA vendors – enabling customers to orchestrate the work of people and bots through a single platform. In this latest release, we’ve added some new features to those integrations including:

  • UiPath’s Attended Bots: with this capability, you’ll be better positioned to cover scenarios where bots and humans work together. And with the click of a button, you’ll be able to deploy bots right to your desktop instead of using limited data center resources.
  • Automation Anywhere A2019 support: we’ve added support for native integration with the A2019 edition, a fully cloud-based version, ensuring that you have the option to deploy RPA bots natively while using the A2019 edition.

What next?

With our future roadmap, our focus is to do three things:

  • Help you to use Bizagi as an intelligent automation orchestrator
  • Provide you with next generation governance for your business
  • Continually enhance the recognized ease of use of our platform
